Senior Electrical Engineer | Tier 1 Infrastructure & Building Services

Unleash your technical expertise on Australia’s most iconic landmark projects.

We are a premier, multidisciplinary Design and Construct (D&C) powerhouse. We don’t just draw the plans; we build the future. From high-tech data centers and cutting-edge hospitals to massive transport infrastructure, we specialize in delivering the complex engineering solutions that keep the country running.

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who is tired of being stuck behind a desk and wants to see their designs come to life on-site.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will bridge the gap between high-level consultancy and practical execution. You will lead the design phase of major electrical projects, ensuring technical excellence while collaborating closely with our project management and site teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and technical specification of LV/HV distribution, lighting, and specialized electrical systems.

  • Managing the Design and Construct (D&C) process, ensuring designs are optimized for both performance and buildability.

  • Performing complex calculations and modeling (e.g., PowerCAD, AGi32).

  • Providing technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

  • Acting as a key technical point of contact for clients, architects, and stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Team

You are a seasoned engineer with a "solutions-first" mindset. You understand that a perfect design is only perfect if it can be built efficiently and safely.

  • Experience: 7+ years in electrical engineering, ideally within a Tier 1 contracting or reputable consultancy environment.

  • Technical Chops: Proven expertise in Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000) and large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.

  • Leadership: A natural ability to lead a design team and communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Qualification: A degree in Electrical Engineering and (ideally) CPEng status or a clear path toward it.

Why Join Us?

  • Project Scale: Work on the biggest, most complex projects in the Southern Hemisphere.

  • The Full Lifecycle: Be involved from the initial ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) phase through to final commissioning.

  • Stability & Growth: We have a massive pipeline of secured work and a culture that promotes from within.

At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
